The People in the Business

Prakash Dayal is the Director of the M R Dayal Group, Ba, Fiji. He has succeeded his late father Mr. Ram Dayal. Prakash Dayal is an Engineer by profession. He specializes in heavy duty mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics engineering. No work is too big or too small for him. He is the brains behind the setup of all of the Dayals businesses since the last 30 years. A devoted person with a strong religious background. He devotes his free time with family and mentors his 4 children. He is currently the Managing Director of Dayals Sawmillers Limited. Prakash Dayal is the man behind the Dayal flag.

Jay Dayal is involved in many businesses and one of his major commitment is Dayals Timber. He has led this company from a small timber exporter to Fiji's largest exporter until this day. He has Quality Management background and is a Graduate from Standards Australia specializing in Quality Systems Audit and Implementation. He joined Dayals in 1996  holds the position of Director of Export Marketing in Dayals Timber and various other portfolios in affiliated companies. He is now the President of the Fiji Sawmillers Association after serving 8 years as National Secretary. As part of his thesis project, Jay researched on how to increase commercial viability of sawmills in Fiji and increasing export earnings in the short term benefiting the industry. His thesis project with Standards Australia recorded the highest score in Fiji.

Manjula Dayal is currently one of the Directors and Secretary of Dayals Timber. She has extensive experience in managing business finance and is one of the backbones of Dayals Timber operations. She is also involved in other inter-related companies. Manjula Dayal was nominated in Business Woman of Year Award in 2006. Her dedication to her family owned enterprise and her success has provided growth in her businesses. She is actively involved in social work.  She spends her free time with her family. Manjula Dayal is a renowned business lady in the district of Ba. One of her most valuable contributions has been towards her husbands businesses where she dedicated most of her life time.

Praneel Dayal joined Dayals Group in 2005. He commenced his career in Sydney, Australia as a manager of Dayals' Group's investments in Australia. He graduated with Bachelor of Commerce and  Masters of Commerce Degree from University of Western Sydney, NSW. He is an Associate Member of Chartered Professional Accountants, Australia. Praneel in involved more in Dayals affiliated company, Dayals [Fiji] Artesian Waters Ltd, the producers of world famous Island Chill Natural Artesian Water. He overseas administration of Dayals Group and is our internal auditor.
